FAQs
Some of our most asked questions
How Do I Enter?
CHOOSE your event and click on the logo.
Find the 'Enter Now' button and your away. You'll need to follow the steps and register an account (This becomes your own personal fundraising page). Next you can join a team, or create a team others can join you on or go solo.
Once your all set up you have to share the pants off your fundraising page. Your only focus in life now is to raise money for our charities and get amongst it during the charity ride.
Can We Enter As A Team?
All participants must enter individually and set up their own individual fundraising page.
You can then start a team yourself or join in on a already established crew. But if your in this alone, its ok, you can ride solo - we're not judgy.
How the teams work - you set your self up and you are still raising money for you as a rider. Your team you have joined then pools your efforts together and who knows, you might even win a prize for the most money raised by a team!!!
What Route Do We Take?
Napier to Wellington Ride:
We start off from Furniture Clearance Co 102 Munroe Street in Napier and pass through Waipukurau, Dannevirke, Woodville, Masterton, Greytown, over the Rimutaka Hill and down to the finish line at Macs Brew Bar on Taranaki wharf in Wellington. The ride is around 320 kilometres and is expected to take between 7 and 10 hours.
Cold Kahuna:
This depends on where you live!! Get togther with a few mates, grab a support crew and ride from anywhere in New Zealand to our party paddock in Ohakune. You'll get the official address onces you've registered.
What experience do I need as a rider?
Napier to Wellington Ride:
None - however it is very important to note that even though this ride is amazing, fun and for a great cause... you will be riding over 300 KM on a mixture of roads, with the majority of those being 100 KM per hour.
If you're new to riding, it would pay to check out www.rideforever.co.nz which is a ACC supported organisation with tips for rider saftey and courses you can book, no matter your skill level.
Cold Kahuna:
It pays to have a little more experience for this one. Being winter, the conditions are a big part of the adventure. If your still keen, get a few rides under your belt in the wet and cold!!!
